Jonathan Chad Smith, 41, passed away November 3, 2013 at his residence. Jonathan was born January 1, 1972 in Catawba Co. to Catherine Yoder Elmore and Larry G. Smith. He was an employee of Highland Ave. Restaurant. Surviving are his mother, Catherine Yoder Smith Elmore of Newton; father, Larry G. Smith and wife, Kathy, of Creston; brothers, Douglas Scott Yoder of Hickory and Michael Reece of Trade, TN; mat-grandmother, Fannie Yoder, of Hickory. A memorial service will be Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Richards officiating.
