Mrs. Josephine Rowe

JOSEPHINE ELIZABETH ROWE CONOVER – Josephine “Jo” Elizabeth Rowe, 87, of Conover passed away on June 21, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born on December 24, 1926 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard and Bertha Lael Kerley. Jo was a member of Catawba United Methodist Church. She loved to crochet and she really enjoyed life and talking with others. She was known for her wonderful laugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Caldwell Rowe; brothers, Leonard Kerley, Cecil Kerley, George Kerley; sisters, Robina Moser, Bertha Kerley. Survivors include her sons, Rocky Rowe and wife Vickie of Conover, Tony Rowe and wife Shelia of Conover; granddaughters, Buffy Cruz and husband Charly of Conover, Ashley Devlin and husband Brett of Claremont; sister, Betty Couch and husband Lynn of Newton; sister-in-laws, Clara Kerley of Maiden, JoAnn Rowe of Conover, June Rowe of Baltimore; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 3-5 PM at the home of Rocky Rowe, 3612 Mulligan Dr. NE, Conover, NC 28613. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11 AM at Catawba Memorial Park with Pastor Rich Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow.
