Rev. J.T. Cline was my childhood Pastor at Big Spring Baptist Church. He led me to the Lord and I remember him as being a wonderful, Godly servant. I know he is rejoicing with our Lord now and I look forward to seeing him again and thanking him. My prayers are with you.

Pastor JT was at Temple Baptist Church (Hickory, NC) during the 90's and he was such a blessing to me & my family. He was the 1st pastor I saw "sing from the pulpit" & no one sang Beulah Land any sweeter than he did. I know Heaven rejoiced at his arrival. Billie, you & your family are in my thoughts & prayers.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Preacher Cline.  He was a great friend, neighbor and Pastor to the Smith family for many years.

I was the very young little blond haired boy who one day asked Rev. Cline about the new steeple on the Park Lane Church addition the workers were putting up. (The last time I saw J.T. Cline, he told me about having mentioned this story several times during his ministry, or else I may have never known.) I said in a most serious tone..."Is God up there in the steeple Preacher?", as we both stood looking up at it. He didn't ignore me, nor tell me it was a silly question and to go on and play; instead he took me seriously and then took the time to explain to me "God doesn't actually live here in the church,David.. but he does come to visit us sometimes." 
  I always looked up to Rev. Cline and was baptised by him. There were three young folks baptised that night as I recall and the baptismal font water was ~~~COLD~~~ and on my way out I missed a step and fell backwards as he caught me during my 2nd Baptism on the way out! 
  The last time I saw Rev. Cline was at Rev. Jimmy Stroud's 3rd Creek Baptist Church in Knoxville where J.T. was the guest preacher that night with a fellowship to follow. It was a heart-felt pleasure to see him again after all those years and I will truly miss him and I bid him God Speed on his incredible spiritual journey which has only begun.

Mrs. Cline, Preacher Cline was so special to me, Sonny and our entire family.  He dedicated our little "Sonny Paul". He was our friend, he was always there when someone was in need.  You guys were there when we  decorated our first home. But most of all, Preacher Cline was "Our Shepherd"!

Mrs Cline, Elaine and Gail,our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Preacher Cline was "my" preacher...and always will be.  I could talk to him about anything...from salvation to golf.  All I can think about now is the wonderful reunion he and Dad are sharing now!  May the Lord's peace be with you.

Billie, Gail, Elaine(Cracker) and family, we are sad today after hearing of the Preachers passing. We have such great memories of years ago when you were at East Athens. Some comments I remember my Mom making was.."Preach I have a question" and..."I have to get out my Preacher cups."

Such a great spiritual influence in my life. I was saved under his pastorate at Park Lane. Gail and Elaine were schoolmates (I met Doris through her friendship with Elaine). Enjoyed contact with Brother Cline through the years. I only regret that he went home to be with the Lord before I could see him again. You can be sure that Brazilian brothers and sisters will be praying for the family. My love and sympathies to the family in your loss and J.T.'s gain.

Many great memories of Rev. Cline when I grew up at Park Lane Baptist Church.  He was an excellent Preacher.  It was great when he came back to preach at the homecomg.  Wonderful family.

I am sorry to hear of Rev. Cline's passing.  He was paster at Park Lane
church when I joined there.  I also remember That everyone in the church cried when he resigned.  God bless you his family.

It's very saddening to hear of Pastor Clines passing, as a young member of Park Lane Baptist, he gave me a good foundation to build my life on. Mrs Cline, Gail and Elaine my families thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Mrs Cline, Elaine and Gail, I was sorry to hear of Preacher Cline's passing.He is the first pastor that I remember as a child. Please know you are in my prayers.

I was so sad to hear about Rev.Cline. I have known Cline for many years.My grandmother the late Bernice H. Sharpe always thought so much of the Rev. & Mrs.Cline. they traveled alot togather. My thoughts and prayers go out Mrs.Cline & family.
