Lucy Mae Richardson

Lucy was born on March 19, 1936 in Johnson City, Tenn., to the late Carrick and Myrtle Boone Garland in Johnson City, Tenn.

Lucy retired after 33 years as a cottage supervisor at Southbury training School in Southbury, Conn.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rual A. Richardson; two sons, Darrel Wayne Richardson and Keith "PT" Richardson.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Richardson, of the home; four sons, Clifford Richardson and his wife, Kathy, of Vt.; Don Richardson and his wife, Sue, of Conn.; Carrick Richardson and his wife, Sallie, of Conn.; Douglas "Gene" Richardson, also of Conn.; 17 grandchildren, Scott Lepri, Christopher Richardson, and Kari Richardson, all of Vt.; Shannon Richardson, and Hope Ann Richardson, both of Mass.; Sarah Richardson, Amber Richardson, David Richardson, Jordan Richardson, Shane Richardson, Justine Richardson, Jessie Richardson, and Joshua Richardson, all of Waterbury Conn.; Christina Richardson of Calif.; Rebecca Richardson, Leigha Richardson, and Alexandra Richardson all of Cheshire, Conn.; and several great-grand-children and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Ted Garland, of Johnson City Tenn.; Junior Garland, of Fla.; Virgil Garland of Tenn.; and one sister, Nancy Garland, of Tenn.

A memorial service will be held on a later date.
