Mabel Mingus

Mable was born September 1st, 1934 in Alexander County Co. to the Charlie and Mary Josephine Dyson Brown .

Mable was a member of Liledoun Baptist Church and retired from Regency House Inc.

In addition to her husband, Floyd Mingus ,a grandson, Eric Mingus four brothers, P.J., Roy, Charles and John Brown.

Surviving are three sons, Dale Mingus and wife Deanne of Hickory , Scott Mingus of Hickory, Charles “Butch” Mingus and wife Ellen, two grandsons, Michael Mingus and wife Tina, Charles Mingus, two granddaughters, Leigh Maye,Joy M. Ennis and a step-granddaughter, Alycia Summers, step-grandson John Michael Summers, great grandchildren Hannah Mingus, McKenzie Pleasants, Austin Ennis, Emily Ennis , Aaliyah Summers, Chloe Summers three sister s, Alice Brown , Marie Gragg and Ethel Tomlin all of Taylorsville.

The family will receive friends on Monday February 13th 2012 from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM at Hickory Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 13th, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Hickory Funeral Home with the Reverend Terrell Robinson officiating.

Interment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
