Marcella "Marcie" Deal

Marcella Deal, beloved wife, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at her home. Best known as “Marcie”, she was devoted to her husband and her family; her warmth, kindness, and caring heart touched everyone who knew her.

Marcie was born to the late Morris Miller and Juanita Carpenter Miller on July 8, 1947. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, G.P. and Violet Deal, and brothers in law, Richard Young and Allen Hefner.

Marcie graduated from St. Stephens High school and went on to work a career of over 30 years as an operator at Hickory Printing.

Over 49 years ago, Marcie married the love of her life, Roger Deal. Marcie devoted her life to Roger and cherished the years they had together.

Marcie was a lifetime member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Conover, NC. She spent many years sharing her gift of singing in the choir.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roger; twin sister, Maggie Young; brother, Morris “Corky” Miller (Sharon); sisters in law, Lana Craig (Ronald), Judy Hefner, and Barbara Hefner (Jerry); nephews, Jeremy Miller (Sandy), Mark Hefner(Becky), and Kyle Hefner (Jeanne); nieces, Lindsay Miller and Ronda Manley (Michael); and great-nephews, Solon and Levi Hefner. Marcie’s legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Marcie will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and admiration.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 am-11:45 am on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Conover, NC. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 pm. Pastor Mary Miller-Zurell will be officiating the service.
