MARSHALL CARL DAVIS HICKORY- Marshall “Red” C. Davis, 82, passed away on September 6, 2015. Born on December 8, 1932 in Catawba County, NC to the late Arthur and Erma Davis. He was a charter member of the Hickory Rescue Squad where he served for 27 years. He served in the Korean War with the United States Navy. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death two sisters, Dorothy Sigmon and Nellie Davis; and brother, Willard Davis. Survived by his wife, Elizabeth Davis; daughter, Vickie Ellis; granddaughter, Stephanie Ellis; sister, Frankie Stallings and husband Jack; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 3pm at Catawba Memorial Park with Dr. Robert Allen officiating and full military rites.
