Mary Anges Perrou

Born in Caldwell County on July 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles Cecil and Cora Mae Hamby Greene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Phillip Perrou, her sisters Meredith Hamby, Annie Ruth Church, and Jeannette Cowart and a special friend Landon Braswell.

She is survived by her nephew Fred Parsons and his wife Joyce; her niece Gina Layton; great nieces Monica Messer and her husband Ricky, and Teresa Miller and her husband Mike; great nephew Phillip Parsons; great great nieces Heather Bay and husband Chris, Kimbra, Amanda and Makayla and her husband Hunter. Great great great nieces and nephews Aiden Miller, Josh See, Logan Bay, Daniel Hicks, Kayleigh Hicks, and Jaxon Hicks also survived her.

Graveside service will be held, Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Mountain Grove Baptist Church, 2485 Connelly Springs Road, Granite Falls, NC with Reverend James Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at church cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Shaire Nursing Center and Amorem Hospice of Caldwell County for the care they gave Mrs. Perrou.
