Mee Lor Thao, 52, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Amorem Hospice in Valdese.
Born on April 5, 1971 in Nasu, Laos. Her father was Blia Lor and her mother was Lee Yang. She fled to Thailand and came to the United States as a refugee in August 1981. She lived in St. Paul, Minnesota with her family. She later moved to Morganton, North Carolina. Mee was diagnosed with kidney disease at the age of 30 in November 2005. She leaves behind a loving husband, a son, two daughters, and a grandson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm with Pastor Pao Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
