Norma Jean Massey

Norma Jean was born May 8, 1938 in Catawba Co. to the late Joseph L. and Barbara Grace Pope Glass.

She graduated from Hickory High School in the class of 1956 and attended Clevenger’s Business School for 2 years. After graduation, she worked in the office at Huffman Sausage Co. for 29 years prior to working for Hickory Public School system until her death.

Surviving are her husband, Roger Massey of the home, daughters: Olivia “Libby” Holliday of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jenny Marie McMahan and husband, Brent of Waynesville, NC, son: Jerry Dale Massey and wife, Elisabeth “Liz” of Cary, NC, granddaughters: Kristy Main, Mariah Skye Massey and Madison Horvath Massey, grandsons: Jason Holliday, Josef Lindell Massey and Spencer Chance McMahan

Services will be Sunday, January 16, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Donald W. Ingle officiating.

Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:30 – 7:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
