Perry Leroy Benfield

Perry was born September 16, 1938 in Alexander Co. to Ollie May Lackey Benfield and the late Sard Leroy Benfield.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, Rocky Leray Benfield and Christopher Todd Benfield a granddaughter, Tiffany-Brooke LeiAnne Reynolds.

He was a charter member of Tri City Baptist Church, a member of Faith Sunday School Class, former deacon and usher. He was Owner & Operator of Hickory Frame Works, Inc.

Surviving are his wife; Doris Ann Lafone Benfield of the home, daughters; Amanda Mitchell of Hickory and Marissa Benfield of the home; son, Rev. Stoney Benfield and wife, Melissa of Albermarle; fourteen grandchildren; mother, Ollie Mae Lackey Benfield of Bethlehem; sisters, Joann Seitz of Raleigh and Beulah Mae Price and Husband Owen of Taylorsville; brothers, John Benfield, Danny Benfield both of Bethlehem and Larry Benfield and wife, Cathy of Statesville.

Services will be Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 3:00 P. M. at Tri City Baptist Church with Dr. Ruffin Snow, Dr. Stan Frye and Mark Ikerd officiating.

Interment will follow in Springs Road Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 – 2:45 PM at the church.
