Mr. Herman was born in Catawba County, North Carolina to the late Kerby Herman and Claudia Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Herman and 13 siblings.
He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the United States Army.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Mark Herman and wife Beth of Hickory, daughter, Julie Flowers and fiancé, Geoff Ping of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Robert “Trae” Burney (Cruz) of Tustin, CA, Corey Burney (Kayte) of Winston Salem, NC, Cody Herman (Jaylen) of Waynesboro, VA, Zach Flowers (Jessica) of Hickory, NC; great grandchildren Roland Burney, Lilana Burney, Amelia Flowers, and a great-granddaughter expected in July.
Funeral services for Mr. Herman will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Friday, March 29th, 2024 at 2:00pm with Pastor Scott Hooks officiating. The family will receive from 1:00-1:50pm prior to service. A private burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery on Saturday, March 30th, 2024.
