Rachel Teague Robinson

HICKORY— Rachel Teague Robinson, 82, of Hickory passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at her home. Born February 7, 1935, in Valdese, NC. She was the daughter of the late John G. Teague, Sr. and the late the Lela Munday Teague. Rachel graduated from Granite Falls High School. Then started her career in banking and retired from Bank of America after 30 years. She was an active member of Baton Baptist Church. Rachel adored her family. Especially her daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughter. She strived to help anyone in need and was a faithful, passionate mother, sister and friend. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Thad, William, Fred, Joe and Benny Teague; sisters Rebecca Teague, Judy (Teague) Killian, Martha ( Teague) Donkel, and Peggy (Teague) Lentz; nephews David, John and Roger Teague; nieces Cindy T. Goetz, Kristy Childers, Beth and Sharon Mitchum; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. V.E. Teague and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Munday. Survivors include daughters Tammy (Joe) Crabtree of Summerfield, Libby (David) Toal of Cary; granddaughters Katie (Adam) Scott of Knoxville, TN, Brittney Crabtree of Winston Salem and Ava Toal of Cary; great granddaughter Addison Elizabeth Scott of Knoxville, TN; brothers John G. Teague, Jr. of Kannapolis, James F. Teague of Granite Falls and Jack (Elaine) Teague of Cummings, GA; sisters Betty T. Church of Valdese, Linda T. (Calvin) McNeely of Hildebran and Jane T. (Wade) Yount of Hickory; sister-in-law Judy W. Valentine of Statesville and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 11:30 am to 1:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home followed by a service in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Roger Parker officiating.
