Born in Yancey County on August 5, 1954, he was the son of the late Gar Blankenship and Selma Robinson Williams.
He is survived by daughter Mackensie Blankenship of Charlotte; aunts Grace Martin of Claremont and Maxine Ingle of Connelly Springs; his uncle Billy Robinson of Connelly Springs; partner of 15 years Wesley Weaver of Newton and numerous cousins.
Graveside service will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at 1:30pm at Fairview Cemetery. Burial will follow service
