Reba Bolick Ford

REBA BOLICK FORD NEWTON – Reba Bolick Ford, 85 of Newton passed away on March 17, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born on August 14, 1930 in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late W. Vernon and Macie Bolick. Reba was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and retired from Bassett Furniture. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. Reba was an avid reader and quilter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Ford; brother, Lester Bolick; sisters, Treva Yount and Lena Laws. Survivors include her sons, Cecil L. Ford and wife Janice of Newton, Mark W. Ford and wife Michelle of Gaffney, SC; daughters, Nina F. Greeson and husband Dale Greeson Sr. of Conover, Frances F. Roseman and husband Keith of Taylorsville, Rachel F. Keller and husband Alan of Conover; grandchildren, Tammy Ford Lutz, Todd Ford, Shannon Greeson Depp, Erin Roseman Rothrock, Michael Ford, Dale Greeson Jr., Kelly Baker, Scott Wilson, Cassie Hill, Mandy Wilson, Maggi Ford, Will Ford, Graham Ford; 19 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Glenn Bolick, Boyd Bolick, Dell Bolick, Danny Bolick, Alice Hicks,and Elizabeth Bolick all of Lenoir. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 3 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations with Pastor Jerome Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2:45 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to, Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658.
