He was born in Roanoke County, VA to the late Robert Harrison Neal and Constance Leha Bebber Neal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jon Neal.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Susan Annette Hefner Neal; brother, David Neal (Desi); sister, Tracy Neal; brother-in-law and wife, Doug and Tami Hefner; nephews, Matt McCrummen, Ben and Logan Hefner; nieces, Summer Dees and Heather Froelich.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory.
