Roy Lee Lane

He was born on September 24, 1942 in Grayson, VA to the late J Randall Lane, Sr. and Marie James Lane.

Roy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hickory. He worked at Trailways for 22 years and Broyhill Furniture for 16 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Donna Lane of the home; son, Justin Roy Lane of Hickory; daughters, Elizabeth Anne Lane of Hickory and Jessica Lane Veach of Charlotte; brothers, J Randall Lane, Jr. of Danville, VA and Dale Curtis Lane and wife, Maxine of Mouth of Wilson, VA; sister, Donna Lane Cole and husband, Sam of Independence, VA; and grandsons, Alex Lee Veach and Adam Michael Veach; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sara and Doug Delp of Elk Creek, VA; special friends, Floyd and Debbie Higgins of Roanoke, VA and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church in Hickory with Rev. Whit Malone and Heather Davis officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
