

Born in Catawba County on April 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Flavia Mull Watts.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 72 years, Harley Moretz; her brothers Joe Watts, Elmer Watts and Dick Watts; her sisters Parliee Holder, Flo Buff and Marie Cook preceded her in death.
Jane was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, and owner/operator of Harley Furniture Company. She loved working with Harley in the furniture company, family was everything to her, she enjoyed traveling, and baking pies and cakes, that she loved to share with family and friends.
Her daughters Hollie Sue Dockery (Allen) of Hickory, and Tammy Cooke (Reverend James Cooke Jr.) of Hickory; son Dale Moretz (Jamie) of Hickory survive her. Grandchildren Chae Torres (Mike), Tonya Teague, Nicky Bass, Jeremy Moretz (Beth), Courtney Rockett (Matt), and Austin Cooke (Marissa); nine great grandchildren also survive her.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 3:00 pm Hickory Funeral Home with Reverend James Cooke Jr. and Reverend Jeremy Moretz officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
