Mrs Ruth Reid Bowman

Ruth was born May 10, 1927 in Caldwell Co. to the late Horace James and Anna Hefner Reed. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Leo T. Bowman, a son, Dennis Troy Bowman, a brother, Donald R. Reid and an infant sister.

Ruth was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as church secretary, Sunday School teacher and many other capacities of the church. She retired from Madaris Hosiery where she was employed for many years.

Surviving are a son, Neil R. Bowman of Bethlehem, sisters: Betty Austin and husband, Cade of Charlotte, Peggy Childres and husband, David of Granite Falls and a sister-in-law, Ellen G. Reid of Granite Falls and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, April 21, at 4:00 P. M. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Reverends Kenneth Little and Kenneth Lambert officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 3:00 until 3:45 P. M at the church.
