Ruth Crowder Brittain

HICKORY---- Ruth Crowder Brittain, 83, passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center.Ruth was born June 4, 1931 in Cleveland County to the late Dewey George Crowder and Essie Cora Houser Crowder. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Brittain, her sisters Dean Baxter and Mae Hallman, her brothers Bill Crowder and Palmer Crowder. Surviving is her daughter Janet Muir and husband James of Lenoir; her son Benett Brittain of Lenoir; niece Gwendolyn Pruette and husband Carrell of Vale ; her sister Edna Houser of Sumpterville, SC; her brother Tom Crowder and wife Dottie of Hickory; grandchildren Edward Brittain and wife April, Kyle Warlick and wife Juanita, Craig Warlick; step-granchildren John Spencer and wife April, Matthew S. Johnson and wife Anne Marie, Margaret J. Whitaker and husband Brian, Natalie Muir and husband Jose Jurado and Sarah Muir and husband Oliver Bailey; great grandchildren Lance Brittain, Robbie Brittain, Cory Brittain, , Ryker Warlick, Tyler Warlick,; step- grandchildren Cheyenne Muir, Joaquin Juardo, Max Juardo, Dylan Bailey ,Evan Johnson, and Jemma Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 12:00pm to 1:45pm at Hickory Funeral Home.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel.
