Shirley Ray Carrier

Shirley is survived by her children Bobby Carrier, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Angela Stevens and husband Michael of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and Andrea Danner and husband Harley of Hickory; siblings, Doris Jacobs of Hickory and Randall Parson and wife Jane of Hickory; grandchildren, Jessica Newton, Anthony Wilson, and Abigail Best and husband McLeod all of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and nieces, Karen Vernon and husband Bill of Denver, North Carolina, Tammy Butler and husband Doug of Hickory and Terina Harold and husband Willie of Hickory.

Graveside services for Shirley will be held at 3 pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory with Pastor McLeod Best officiating. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3pm at Catawba Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Carrier family would like to thank Shirley’s special friends, Sandy Berry and Carolyn Bowman Kuchenbecker for their love and support during her illness.
