through the years thought you was so beautiful when you was young and you still are beautiful sorry you lost one of your family members she sounds like she was a very nice person through her years but I always thought a lot of her dad to and the kids never saw her mom but once or twice that I no of but I think maybe we might be a little bit kin Charlie and my grandmother Ruley Miller somewhere along the line .  she's still beautiful I'm so sorry for your loss I'm sure she was wonderful sister it sounds like a wonderful person my deepest sympathy for the family may she rest in peace

Dear Monica (& family),
I was saddened to hear your mom has passed.  So much of my preteen/early teen days were spent in your home.  They are such good memories.  Your mom was another mother to me during those times and I loved her dearly.  
It was so fun staying up late with her and she would make prank phone calls with us and make us snacks esp. her no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies.  
I hope you treasure your memories and they bring you the necessary peace of not having her physically by your side.

Shirley Cole was one if the kindest, most sweet-hearted people I’ve ever known. It was a real blessing/honor to know her as my best neighbor and friend  for 20+ years. She genuinely loved people, believed in helping those in need, especially children, always giving and sharing a smile. She seemed happiest when spending time with family, friends, neighbors and anyone who happened to be around wanting to join in the fun and laughter.  Seeing her as sickness overtook her strong, independent and strong-willed (stubborn) little self,  grieved my heart even though I stood firm on prayers & faith of Shirley’s healing. Thank God for giving her a new, pain / sickness free body and we will see her again. 

Shirley was the sweetest lady! I always looked forward to going to the cafeteria to see her smile. She always took good care of “her girls.”  

Shirley and I worked together at century furniture (Shuford) for 30 years . After we retired she always look forward to getting  everyone together at Captain Galley. Because we were all like family there at Shufords she love seeing everyone . She was very friendly and good hearted . She was my best friend and like a sister to me . She will be greatly missed. Monica is such a great daughter thank you for takeing such good care of you mon . With deep sympathy love vickie                                                                            

To Shirley’s family…Shirley and I met in 2010…she and I worked together at St Stephens Elementary school…how I grew to love this lady! She was one of the kindest, sweetest ladies I have ever met. Please know I have thought of her over the years since I moved away.  And it’s with much love and sadness that I send this…she will be missed terribly and loved so much more.  I am so very sorry for your loss. 

I still remember the first day Shirley came to work for me at SSHS back in 2008. From that day we became such great friends and I loved her so much. We have so many memories together as friends and as The SSHS cafeteria family. The last few years was hard for her and Lord knows she gave her sickness a good fight even when it got so hard. Mrs. Shirley you are now at peace. I will hold you dear in my heart and remember the good times we had. I Love you and will miss you dearly. I will continue to pray for your family in their time of loss to an amazing person.

Wonderful women. She is no longer in pain and is rejoicing with her family that has went on before her. Love you Aunt Shirley.
