Mrs. Shirley Stafford Keller

Shirley was born July 20,1932 in Catawba County to the late Acey Ralph and Bessie Little Stafford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years; Luther L. Keller Sr., granddaughters; Janie Martin, Adrienne and Demetra Killian.

She was an active lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church MO Synod. She was a founding member of St. Stephens 60 and over Club and Founder of the JOY Club for widowed ladies. She was also a member of the L.W.M.L of St. Stephens Lutheran Church MO Synod. She attended St. Stephens Lutheran Elementary School and was a 1950 graduate of Hickory High School. Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, gardening, and family

Surviving are four daughters ; Thetta Laffon and husband Howard, of Conover, Theresa Charles and husband Lorenzo, of Wake Forest, Tanga Killian and husband Douglas, of Punta Gorda, FL, Tamara Martin and husband Jimmie, of Hickory, a son; Luther L. Keller Jr. and wife Judith, of Hickory , ten grandchildren, ten great- grandsons and two great- great - grandchildren

A private graveside service will be held on Monday April 26, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church MO Synod Cemetery with Pastors David Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating.

Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday April 26, at 2:30 P. M. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church MO Synod with Pastors David Guelzow and David Zeihr officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church MO Synod, 2304 Springs Road N.E., Hickory, NC 28601.
