HICKORY Steven Brian Taylor, 45, of Hickory passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016. Born in Catawba County, Sept. 14, 1970, he was the son of Robert Steven Taylor and Barbara Propst Taylor. He was a loving son and friend. Brian will be deeply missed. Brian was a proud employee of Yellow Cab and worked as a dispatcher for many years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Scott Taylor; and all of his grandparents. Brian is survived by his father, Robert Steven Taylor and wife, Kathy of Statesville; mother, Barbara Jane Propst Hallman and husband, Troy of Hickory; stepsister, Shannon Adams and husband, Daniel of Fayettville; stepbrothers, Wesley Hallman and wife, Amy of Taylorsville and Steve Hallman and wife, Tina of Taylorsville. The memorial service for Brian will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The Revs. Joel Cook and Tim Shook will be officiating the service.
