Claremont – Trina Rash Houser, 67 of Claremont went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on July 22nd, 1958, in Catawba County, NC she was the daughter of the late Donald and Martha Houston Rash. Trina loved to crochet, making blankets and doilies for her family and friends. She also loved to cook homemade meals. Trina’s greatest joy in life was being a homemaker for her husband and children. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Trina is preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Ann Houser: her maternal grandmother, Espa Goble Houston: her brother, Gregory Dale Wright, and her sister-in-law, Debbie Houser Honeycutt.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 40 years, Howard Lee Houser Jr., her son, Eric Caleb Pennell: her cousin, Randy Houston: her brothers-in-law, Wayne Houser and Allen Houser, and her sister-in-law, Penny Young.
A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Trina’s name.
