Having known Violet for more than 41 years from her days of substitute teaching at St. Stephens High School as well as being an Avon sales representative, and especially as a cheerful, kind, and friendly Christian; it was quite a shock to learn of her sunset.  She will truly be missed.  May  your family seek and find comfort in your many precious and sweet memories and in God's calming, loving, and gracious peace.  ~ Please accept our sincere condolences.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of the passing Violet. She has not only been my Avon lady but my friend. I loved just sitting and talking to her. She will be very missed!  My prayers go out to her family!

I've just heard about Violet's passing and like many others am very saddened by it. Our family joined Highland Baptist about 1947 so we've known Violet, the Whites and Kales ever since. My favorite memories of her and her flaming red hair were in the late 50's and early 60's,singing in the choir,with her as the pianist or organist under the direction of James Snyder. Her bright personality worked well to offset his serious side. When my Mother passed away in 2004 Violet was able to play one of her favorite songs "I'll Fly Away" (not found in most Baptist Hymnals). Our memories are filled with Violet always at the piano or organ. We have shared many good years at Highland. May God continue to hold you in his loving arms, our deepest sympathy to the family.

Thoughts and prayers are with all of Violet's family. She was a dear lady and will be missed by many.

She befriended me as a neighbor, someone to laugh and have fun with, a sister in Christ, and just because that's what she always did with everyone.  It will take awhile for me to realise she is no longer just a call away.

I was very sad to read that Violet had died...she was always a great inspiration to me as such a dedicated servant of the Lord in the music ministry of Highland Baptist Church...my love, thoughts and prayers to all the family

I hate to hear about Violet.  She was very dear to me.  I know that Violet is a Christian and is with the Lord.  May God be with your family during this difficult time.

Donna and I are deeply saddened by hearing about the passing of Violet.  She was so precious to us and so many others.  So many good times in choir, as I remember all the back and forth between Kenny and Violet.  Such good-natured humor and ribbing that we will cherish forever.  I am sure the saints and angels are rejoicing today as they bring home one of their precious saints.  Violet is pain free and seated at the right hand of Jesus now, with our son, Gregory, and heaven is better for it.  I am so sorry I won't be able to bring Violet another batch of pimento cheese from Winn Dixie, as I know how much she loved that good stuff.  Regardless of the circumstances this just doesn't ever get easy.  To say Violet will be missed is such an understatement and minimizes her impact and contribution to the lives of those whom she knew and touched.  Much love, hugs and prayers are sent your way from Florida.
