Vivian Sanniota

Hickory – Vivian Deanne Derr Sanniota, 63, of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 30th, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on July 27th, 1962, in Union County, Pennsylvania, Vivian was the daughter of the late William and Beatrice Snyder Derr.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her father William and mother Beatrice.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 45 years, Tony Sanniota; her daughter, Deana Adkins and spouse, Kyle; her son, Anthony Sanniota and spouse, Bárbara and her son, Nicholas Sanniota; her sister, Mary Keller and five grandchildren, Paige, Kaden, Kyleigh, Damon and Leonardo, as well as her mother-in-law, Alice Sanniota.

Vivian absolutely cherished her family and friends as shown by her ongoing love and affection, putting others above herself, always. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren, sewing, cooking for her family, baking, arts & crafts and creating laughter and happiness wherever she was. Vivian was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on the Tuesday, the 6th of January 2026 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Sam Craven officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
