Willadene H Huffman Bowman

HICKORY—Willadene Huffman Bowman, 90, of Hickory passed away peacefully at Trinity Village on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. Born in Guilford County on July 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Hathcock and Sarah Huffman Hathcock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Elmore Bowman and a son Mark Bowman. Willadene is survived by her daughters Connie McNeil and husband Ronnie of Hickory, and Beth Mitchell and friend Mark Martin of Conover; her son Edward Bowman of Hickory; grandsons Seth Bowman of Chicago, IL, and Joshua Mitchell of Conover; nieces Terra West of Newton and Jeannie Westbrook of Hickory and a cousin Helen Suttlemeyer of Conover. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod. The funeral will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at 3:00 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod Reverend David Ziehr and Reverend Dave Guelzow officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod, Building Fund 2304 Springs Road NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
