He was born on July 27th 1949 in Ravenswood, NY. He grew up in Flushing, NY and attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He went on to work as a heavy equipment operator dedicating 56 years to local 15 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Gerald Manna was known for his rosie red cheeks in the business, and took on his father’s nickname Rougie. His passion and loyalty to the union was unmeasurable. He enjoyed being with his family and close friends and was extremely passionate about his role as an instructor at the Local 15 training facility every Saturday for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife Cathy, and children Joseph (Mia), Danielle, Jennifer (Troy) and Jerry (Nicole) as well as 7 beautiful grandchildren Kathryn, Anthony, Matthew, Jason, Lauren, Lila and Vivienne.
