Mary Avila

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent, and together they built a life centered around love, family, and faith. A devoted and loving mother, Mary is survived by her children Maria (Mark) Boehrer, Frederick (Charlene), and Vincent S. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Thomas, Andrew, and Erica.

A woman of deep faith, Mary found strength and guidance through her Catholic faith. She treasured time spent with her family and found great joy in preparing meals that brought everyone together around the table. Her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength touched all who knew her.

A visitation will be held in Mary’s honor on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 W Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 17 Fordham Ave, Hicksville, NY. Mary will be laid to rest at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.

Mary’s legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
