Nelson Bonilla, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on December 21, 1970, in San Salvador, El Salvador, Nelson lived a life full of love, generosity, and devotion to his family.
Above all else, Nelson was a family man. He was a loving husband and the proudest father, endlessly supportive of his daughters and everything they accomplished. His greatest joy was seeing his girls happy, and he never missed an opportunity to remind them how deeply he loved them.
Nelson had a zest for life and cherished simple moments with those he loved. He found peace at the beach, especially while watching the sunset at Field 10, and he treasured road trips and weekends upstate with his family. He enjoyed traveling back to El Salvador, especially during Semana Santa.
He had many passions that brought warmth to those around him. Nelson loved his daily Starbucks, his time with Angel-David, and the children at the daycare who always had a special place in his heart. His love language was cooking—every weekend he prepared the most wonderful breakfasts, opening his home to family and making everyone feel welcome at his table.
Nelson will be remembered as the best dad in the world—caring, selfless, and full of love. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and devotion will live on in his family and all who were lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Flor Bonilla, his adoring daughters, Christina Bonilla, Michelle Bonilla and Elizabeth bonilla who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
