Dear brother of Ronald Normandin, he shared a special bond with his brother. Their relationship was characterized by mutual respect, shared experiences, and a deep familial connection that shaped Richard's life.
Richard's interests and passions were as vibrant as his personality. He was a man who relished the simple pleasures of life, from hosting lively barbecues to enjoying peaceful swims and engaging in his favorite pastime of fishing. A proud Marine, Richard served during the Vietnam War, embodying the values of courage and honor. His service was recognized with a place on the Wall of Honor at Eisenhower Park (Section D, #59, Lower Left Panel), a fitting tribute to his dedication and sacrifice.
In his personal life, Richard was a man of faith, finding solace and inspiration in his religious beliefs. He enjoyed the musical stylings of Frank Sinatra and Shade, often finding peace in the melodies while watching birds visit his feeders—a simple pleasure that brought him great joy. Richard made podcasts, actually very funny podcasts, which reflected his humor and creativity, bringing joy and laughter to many.
He even indulged in watching “Downton Abbey” on his own after enthusiastically recommending it to Patricia, showcasing his endearing and playful side.
