

Andrew Dean Albertson, 50 of High Point, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of February 14, 2014. He was born on November 12, 1963 in High Point and was the son of Carolyn B. Albertson and the late Larry D. Albertson. Andy was a graduate of Westchester Academy-my and attended Greensboro College. He spent most of his successful work career in the software and telecommunications industries, with over 12 years of service with AT&T.
Andy is survived by his mother, Carolyn B. Albertson of Wallburg, N.C., his wife Grace of High Point, his sons Paul of Boone, NC, Alex of Boone, NC, and Andrew of High Point, his brother Eddie and wife Karen of Raleigh, NC and his sister Leigh and husband Scott of Wallburg, NC and their sons Lance and Kent.
He had large and very close extended family including his sister in law Claudia Salgado of Lenoir, NC and her daughters Jennifer and Jessica, his brother-in-law Serafin Salgado of Lenoir, NC and his daughters Aileen, Lucy and Janine, his sister-in-law Patricia Salgado of Lenoir, NC and her daughters Tara and Kathyrn and very close personal friends Steve and Ashley Martin of High Point.
Andy was known for his gregarious personality and as a loving hus-band, father and a caring friend. In recent years, he became an active member of the High Point Elks Lodge. He loved the brotherhood of the Elks and was very involved in the charitable activities of the lodge, particularly those that supported the needs of veterans. Andy was serving the lodge as their Exalted Ruler at the time of his death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the High Point Elks Lodge to support their various charitable activities.
