She was born in Macon County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Lloyd Lackey and Florence Solesbee Lackey. Mrs. Harris was loved so much by all her family and friends.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Newton; a son, Scottie Harris; grandchildren, Tim Newton, Tabatha Harris and Brandi Harris; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Newton; a sister, Mary Fleming.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 12:00, Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery by James McCall. Davis Funerals and Cremations is serving the Harris family.
