Betty was born in Davidson County, April 27, 1952, a daughter of the late Willie Newton Saunders and Lois Kathleen Walker Saunders. She worked in health care the majority of her life and retired several years ago.
Betty had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good practical joke. She enjoyed the country life and country people! Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Albright; a sister, Mary Edna Saunders; and a brother, George Saunders. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Charlene Bulla (Kelyn) and Bonnie Mekhaeil (Maher); a brother, Newton Saunders (Frances); five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two special friends, Judy Ballew and Dot Bradshaw; several nieces and nephews; and her loving cousins, Patsy Gilliland and Tula Everhart.
A Celebration of Betty's life will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Sam Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the service. Pallbearers will be Kelyn Bulla, Adam Self, Donnie Bowens, Joe Bowens, Corey Jacobs, Lee Saunders and Jake Grimmer.
The family will receive friends at the home of Betty's granddaughter, LaRanda Self, 8050 S NC HWY 150, Linwood, NC 27299, following the service. Refreshments will be provided.
