

Mr. Bobby York Albright, age 78, died Monday, December 8th in the Cancer Center at High Point Regional Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Guilford County, Mr. Albright was born March 24th, 1936 a son of the late Kara H. and Ruby Cooper Albright. He was educated in the High Point City Schools, was a graduate of High Point Senior High School and later received a Bachelor of Science Degree from High Point College (now High Point University).
During his life, he had worked at the High Point Enterprise, Borden’s Dairy and retired after working many years as the accounts payable manager at Maro Hosiery Mill in Thomasville.
He also served in the North Carolina National Guard. He was a Birth rite Quaker and was a member of High Point Friends Meeting. An avid genealogist, he spent years researching and tracing family backgrounds. As a hobby, he built, from memory, models of homes, some were homes he, or his family, had lived in, others were of familiar structures. Additionally, he loved to paint wildlife of all kinds.
Surviving are his sister-in-law, Mrs. William (Carol) Albright of High Point; two nephews, Michael H. Albright and Mark Albright and his wife Susan all of High Point and three great-nephews, Matthew, Kyle and Josh Albright.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday in the Staley Town Cemetery in Staley with David Hobson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point and at Staley United Methodist Church immediately following the service.
