

Carol was born in Danville, VA to the late Franklin and Kathleen Butler. She moved to Jamestown, NC when she was in high school. This is where she met her husband, Colon Jordan. The couple wed on December 17, 1955. They celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Carol was a member of Deep River Friends Meeting in High Point. She enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. She worked for Western Electric for many years and retired from AT&T. Her family and friends always enjoyed the delicious pound cakes she made from scratch.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Colon Jordan, brother, Owen Butler, grandson, Kenny Colon Jordan and his wife Heather and a step great granddaughter Nikki Simpkins.
Carol is survived by her daughter Kathy Renee Jordan, her son, Troy Colon Jordan (Carolyn K. Jordan), granddaughter Niki Jordan (Will Shields), great grandchildren, Kayla Jordan (Chris Moore), Bryson Nesbitt, Noah Jordan, Joshua Tinsbloom, Seth Tinsbloom; step great grandchildren Krista Simpkins, Edward Holyfield; brothers in-law Benny Jordan (Barbara Jordan), Larry Jordan (Patsy Jordan); nieces Cindy Jordan and Donna Byerly (Greg); nephews David Jordan and Darrin Jordan.
Her funeral service will be Sunday, November 29, 2015, at 2:00 at Deep River Friends Meeting, with burial to follow at the Deep River Friends Meeting Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, November 28, 2015, 4-6 p.m. at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point.
