Charlie Denson Flynn, 85, passed away Wednesday at Forsyth Memorial Hospital following eight months of declining health. Charlie was born in Yadkin County, July 29, 1931, a son of the late Hairson and Fannie Gill Flynn. He retired from Hooker Furniture. Charlie loved dancing at Carolina Dance Land, woodworking and gardening. He loved his family, grandchildren and his yard buddy, Tiger. Charlie was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Judith Flynn; three daughters, Rebecca Seibert, Kathy Taylor and Charlene Flowers; a son, Charles Flynn; a sister Betsy Flynn; a brother, John Flynn; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Charlie’s life will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Miller and Rev. Carl Taylor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12 noon until the service. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
