

A proud United States Marine, Darrell served his country with honor. The discipline and strength he carried as a Marine remained with him throughout his life, shaping the way he cared for others first and stood firm in his beliefs.
Above all, Darrell was a servant of God. His faith was the cornerstone of who he was. His love for the Lord was reflected in his kindness and selflessness. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Jarrell and Geneva Jarrell, and brother, Rev. James Jarrell.
Darrell leaves behind cherished memories with his three sisters, Nancy Miller (Tommy), Netta Spratt (David), and Kathy Bell; two brothers, Don Jarrell and Craig Jarrell (Sherry); as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
A special thanks is extended to the staff at the Cranberry House and the Medi-Hospice Home of Newland, NC for taking great care of Darrell.
A Service of Honor for Darrell will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations of High Point with Rev. Jimmy Hayden officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery of High Point.
