David Wayne Ostler, 69, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
David was born September 3, 1952 in Frankfort, IN, son of Norman and Mabel Bragg Ostler. He enjoyed technology and was a computer genius. David worked at General Motors and helped engineer computer systems for cars, was a private contractor with the military, and helped secure phone line across the world. This is just a fraction of the things he accomplished. David's greatest love was his family.
David was preceded in death by his father Norman, a brother Danny and a daughter Jessica Lawrence.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Reta Smedley Ostler; sons, Chuck, Erik, Matthew (Rebecca), Damien and Sam; a daughter, Avis Murphy (Keith); his mother Mabel Springer(Kenneth); 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister in law, Cathy Ostler.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at 6 p.m. at the English Road Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1111 English Rd., High Point, NC 27262. Please join the family for refreshments following the service.
