Donald Basil Brown

Don enjoyed sharing his interests with family and friends. Among his passions were the outdoors, UNC athletics, family reunions and gatherings with high school classmates. His sanctuary was his little slice of heaven, his woods and pond. Don attended High Point College and the University of North Carolina. He served in the United States Air Force.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and sister Melba Brown McMahon.

Don is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Thomas) Fisher; son Jeff (Lorna) Brown; grandchildren Colton and Grant Fisher, and Asia and Blake Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Donald’s name to Davidson County Meals on Wheels, 55-B West Center Street Extension, Lexington, NC 27295 or to the North Carolina Wildlife Federation, 1024 Washington Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.

A memorial service for Don will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at 11am outside his personal residence.
