Donna was born in High Point, September 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Fred and Ruby Foster Carroll. She married Paul Snipes and was a Navy wife to Paul during his career in the Korean War. Donna worked for Anvil Brand until it's closing and then assisted Paul with accounting at his business, Southern Metal Supply Co. They enjoyed traveling to Vienna, Austria, Ireland, Spain, and Mexico thru Paul's business. Through thick and thin, she stood by his side. Donna enjoyed tap dancing at Malory Grahams in High Point, NC with a troop of ladies. She was a hooker and stripper (not that kind!). She did handcrafted hooked rugs, dying and stripping the wool to create beautiful rugs. Donna loved the beach and Paul loved the mountain, so they got a farm in Asheboro.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Paul; two sisters, Barbara Carroll and Judy Hayes.
Surviving are her son, Danny Snipes and his wife Sue; two brothers in law, Howard Hayes, Gary Snipes and his wife Paula; nephews, Kyle Hayes and wife Sue and Jay Hayes; and great-nieces, Molly and Sloan, who were like granddaughters to her.
