Dorothy Clark Williams

Mrs. Williams was born in Guilford County on Feb. 3, 1931 to Readie Franklin and Clestia Pearl Hart Stevens. She had been a lifelong resident of this area and retired in 1987 from AT & T after thirty years of service.. Mrs. Williams was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. On Feb. 7, 1948 she married Warren Owens Clark who preceded her in death on March 15, 1990. Also preceding her in death were five brothers: Harvey, Herman, J.W., Carl and Danny Stevens.

Surviving are her son, Randy Owens Clark of High Point; daughter, Mrs. Malinda Dawn Johnson and husband Dean of Kernersville; sister, Mrs. Janice Laspina and husband Jeff of Oak Ridge; brother, Harold Stevens; grandson, Chris Hall and wife Shelly and a great grandchild, Makayla Lynn Hall. Special thanks and appreciation to Frances Cress, a long time friend and comfort provider throughout, until her death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
