

Mrs. Lewis was born November 24, 1928 in Rowan county to Gordon and Margaret Nail Hunt. Mrs. Lewis was a teacher in the public school system in Greensboro, Lexington, and Richmond, Va. prior to her retirement. She was of the Presbyterian faith was preceded in death by her husband, Luther B. Lewis in 1995; and also by two brothers, Joseph G. and James S. Hunt.
Surviving are her daughter, Dr. Margaret Lewis and husband David of St. Cloud, Minn. and her son, John Lewis and wife Carly G. Lewis of Jamestown. Mrs. Lewis has two sisters; Mrs. Phillip Chapman and Mrs. Lee Hinshaw, both of Winston-Salem and one brother, Robert L. Hunt and wife Lois of Greensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mrs. Lewis will be conducted at 12 Noon on Saturday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Jim Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service on E. Lexington Avenue in High Point from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
