

Terry was born November 29, 1926 to Irish immigrants Julia and Cornelius McDevitt in Medford, Mass. She grew up in Boston. Terry put herself through college and was among the first group of women to graduate from Bentley College.
Terry married the love of her life, Donal Mulligan, on September 22, 1956. Donal and Terry celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary just two weeks ago.
Terry was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend. She never met a stranger and saw the good in everyone she met. Terry enjoyed many hobbies and was an avid, life-long volunteer with many organizations. Terry found great joy and closeness to God in her volunteer work at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband Donal, Terry is survived by daughters Tammy Mulligan of Greensboro, Mary Ellen Liebal and husband Michael of Greensboro, sons Donal Mulligan and wife Diane of Minneapolis MN, Neil Mulligan and wife Linda of Hillsborough NC, and eight grandchildren: Kevin, Megan, Colleen, Erin, Katherine, Caroline, Daniel, and Caitlin. Kids, your grandmother adored you and will always be with you.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 7 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 6 from 6 to 8 pm at Sechrest Funeral Home in High Point. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hayworth Cancer Center at High Point Regional Hospital or Pennybyrn at Maryfield.
