Mrs. Hayworth was born on March 5, 1922 in Montgomery County. She worked and retired from Belk in 1990. She also had a great passion for children and was a school crossing guard for several years.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband David Clarence Hayworth; sister, Doris Bulla; brother Doyle McLeod; her great-granddaughter, Jessica Marie Hall.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two daughters, Sara Elizabeth Hayworth and Janice Carolyn Smith; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Sechrest of High Pont will be handling the graveside service that willl be held at Floral Gardens at 1pm on May 15, 2015. In lieu of flowers. please consider making donations in Irene’s name to Hospice of High Point or a charity of your choice.
