

James Allen White, 68, of High Point, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at home surrounded by his wife and daughter. He will be deeply missed by both. Jim was born on April 29, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late James and Ethel Ripley White. He was a resident of Greensboro and High Point for over 35 years.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Janet Carroll White and adoring daughter Allison Louise White. As the oldest of five siblings he is survived by Cheryl White Landon, Ron White (Caron), Karen White Schmidt (Larry), and Tom White (Kris). He also leaves behind sister-in-law, Jo Carroll Warwick (Alan), brother-in-law, Michael Carroll (Vy), many nieces, nephews, and other loved family members and friends. He will be missed by his two beloved Schipperkes, Boo and Onyx, and cat, BP.
Jim graduated from Michigan State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration. Jim was a successful sales manager and received many accolades during his career. He retired from Brulin & Co. Inc. One of his favorite memories included his service as the youngest Chief of Police at Ocean Grove, NJ. He was a charter member of Covenant Church United Methodist.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Covenant Church United Methodist, 1526 Skeet Club Road, High Point, NC. The service will be officiated by Revs. Kyles Wallace, Michelle Foster and Kirk LeJeune. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point.
