Jimmy Ray Vincell, age 69, of Thomasville, North Carolina entered his eternal rest on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Jimmy was born March, 31, 1955 in Logan County, West Virginia; a son of the late Ira Vincell and Mae Matney. He was in the Army National Guard, where he was a wheel and truck mechanic, which ignited his passion in auto mechanics. Later, Jimmy started his own auto mechanic business, called Jimmy's Auto Repair in Thomasville, NC; a garage, which he built from the ground up.
Jimmy was never a stranger to anyone he came across. He had a very kind heart and would help anyone in need. His family was his world and he loved spending time with each of them. Jimmy greatly enjoyed fishing, dancing, and listening to various genres of music such as oldies, old time rock and roll, classic country, bluegrass, and beach music which were some his favorites.
Preceded in Jimmy's death are one sister: Catherine and one brother, Roy Gene.
Surviving are Jimmy's two daughters, Melissa Garrett (Chris) and Melanie Brown (Jason); four sisters: Joann, Linda, Hazel and Helen, two brothers: Leon and Leonard; seven grandchildren: Lorelai, Elijah, Josiah, Austin, Samuel, Nathan and Genna, and two great-grandchildren; Emilia and Louise.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amedisys Hospice in Burlington, N.C. or Hospice of the Piedmont of High Point, N.C.
A Homegoing Celebration of Jimmy's life will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Temple Heights Baptist Church in Trinity, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Brown. Visitation will immediately follow the service with burial onsite.
