Johnny Cardell Marion

Mr. Marion was born in Surry County, November 13, 1934, a son of the late Floyd Dock Marion and Dora Geneva Shelton Marion. He worked for Thomas Furniture for many years and retired from Henredon Furniture. Mr. Marion enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, picking and grinning as well as working on classic cars. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Marion; a sister, Polly Whitaker and a brother, Gilmer Marion.

Surviving are his wife, Mable Reavis; two daughters, Rita Parker and Sandra Parsley and husband Keith; two sons, Richard Marion and wife Willamae and Randy Marion; a sister, Rachel Carter and her husband George; two brothers, Floyd Marion and wife Jean and Gaither Marion; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel by Pastor Stephen Jones. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
