Kenneth "Kenny" Davis passed away peacefully at Forsyth Memorial Hospital on March 22, 2026, at the age of 76.
Ken was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, December 5, 1949, a son of Henry and Dorothy Baker Davis. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Ken dedicated 30 years protecting his community and serving with distinction with the High Point Fire Department. Rising through the ranks to become a Captain, Ken was respected as a natural leader, mentor to younger firefighters and a steady presence in the firehouse. He took great pride in his work, often saying that his greatest honor was training the next generation of firefighters and leading his crew with distinction. Ken was a beloved father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daryl Davis.
Surviving are two daughters, Jaime Collison and Lori Davis; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Davis and Gary Davis and wife Elaine and sister, Henrietta Nance and her husband Cliff.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, March 27, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Union Lutheran Church in Salisbury. Memorials may be directed to the church.
